You might find yourself asking how we came up with these retailer codes that determine where your titles goes. The answer lies in ONIX Code List 139. Often times, these codes are similar to those used in stocks and trade for the company. When we strike up a partnership with a new retailer, we consult the ONIX Code List 139 to see if there is an existing ONIX code that we can use for our system. If there is not, we assign a specific code for that retailer.
Where to Use INscribe Retailer Codes
You will use these codes to opt in or out of distribution to specific retailers, to assign retailer-specific files or metadata, or two run a price campaign at a select set of retailers. We also use them in Athena and on reporting.
